Feedco was founded in 2015 on a passion for dairy cows and the single-minded belief in feeding them properly. They aim to maximise production and health in dairy cows as measured in milk sales, herd management figures, and farmer satisfaction. This is delivered with a personal, proactive approach to customer service, understanding that each farming business is unique.
As a start-up business that was going to hit the ground running, having systems set up quickly was a priority. Westerly was appointed to act as Financial support to the business from the start, with Xero chosen as the accounting software.
Budgets were carefully drawn up using models refined at Westerly and these were put into Xero for monitoring. Westerly was on hand to help set up the financial processes needed to run a busy operation. We now provide ongoing support and analysis as the business grows rapidly, with the presentation of monthly management reports at the board meeting.
