Prep is an independent retailer in the heart of the busy Church Street – Stoke Newington which strives to source high quality, beautiful and innovative tools for the modern home cook. Dealing with brands such as Netherton Foundry, Kilner and Rig-Tig. The team at Prep strive to ensure the best products are available coupled with the best advice to help customers meet their cooking needs and wow their guests!
Where to start?
Prep is an exciting business, driven by an enthusiastic team with a great eye for their products, but as with all start-up businesses the design and set up of critical business systems and processes represented a challenge outside the comfort zone of the team.
Our input
We provide an ongoing support service to Holly, the owner of Prep. We strive to always be available to help her deal with the day to day challenges of the business – be it book keeping queries, annual compliance, management accounts or payroll.
We have helped Holly with her systems set up, implementing Xero in a manner to suit her business and helping her design business processes which are simple to teach staff and easy to conduct.
As the business has grown so the requirement for better analytics information has grown alongside it. To help provide this information we have helped Holly implement and integrate both Vend, an EPOS add on for Xero, and more recently iZettle to simplify the taking of card payments.

As a start up business I had to start from scratch and Sam has done an excellent job of holding my hand through each step of setting up and growing my business; showing great patience along the way. Sam is very knowledgeable and is always at the end of the phone if I have a question or need to run a new report. He is also very flexible to my increasing need for new services. Its also great to be able to work alongside him remotely using our shared service providers and the marvel that is shared screens on skype!
